Hello, hello, welcome back. Hey, if you have found your way here and you're wondering, hmm, what happened to the podcast I used to listen to? There's a new cover here and some new words going on. Or maybe you're brand new and you're just discovering this as your first episode. Welcome. I'm very glad to have you here. I'm Cassandra Duffell. I wanted to take just a few minutes to explain what's changed, why I've made some changes, and what to expect going forward. Because I just want to sit here and give you a straightforward answer rather than just waking up to some different artwork, a different name, or wondering what the heck is going on. And let's just be really clear that 2026 has been a year of surprises, hasn't it? It's been really different in so many different ways. And so many of us have had to respond by amending some of our plans for our businesses, some of the things that we had in throws. 2026 is a year unlike anything we've ever seen in business. So
Welcome And Why Things Changed
we've had to make adjustments, and for me, this podcast is just one of them. So let's just unpack that. Let's start with the name change. So you can see that the podcast is now called The Abundant Practitioner. Interestingly, when this podcast started its life, it was the Wellersbiz Academy, so it's had a couple of name changes. And funnily enough, I had always planned to call this the Abundant Practitioner Podcast. That was in line with the book. As you know, my book came out in March and it's called The Abundant Healer. Now, that book actually was supposed to be called The Abundant Practitioner, but it's actually really hard to fit the word practitioner on the front cover of a book. It's actually really long. So that's how we landed on Abundant Healer for the book. But this podcast was always supposed to be The Abundant Practitioner. Now I did deviate a little bit because I have this brand word that I absolutely love. It's trademarked, it's registered, it's called Well Rising. And I love that. And I decided that look, because the book was Healer now, that maybe the podcast being
The New Name And Its Logic
called Practitioner didn't make sense. And I thought, well, I will use World Rising here. It's a name that I genuinely loved. But the interesting thing is with the reboot of my clinic and what's happening there with a growing movement of patients, etc., World Rising has actually been a name within my patient community, and there's a new YouTube channel that is called World Rising TV. So it's being built through the Clinic Health Haven, and that just sort of happened very naturally, very organically. And it made a lot of sense there because the people I'm supporting have chronic illness, complex conditions. So keeping the same name across two different audiences just didn't feel right. Didn't it felt a bit confusing? And to be frank, it was probably a name that meant something to me, but didn't mean a great deal to everybody else. So the abundant practitioner is a name, just it feels like the natural home for the podcast. And to be frank, it always has. Yes, it connects directly to the book, which is about building a practice that supports your life and not the other way around. It's about being a practitioner who is not just surviving and heading to burnout, but genuinely building something that works, that provides a successful life for you while helping the clients that you love to help. That's the entire philosophy. And to be frank, that's why it makes so much sense that the name of this podcast becomes aligned, because that's exactly what we're doing here as well. You will see here now that the artwork's changed, same face, same person, same voice, fresh new look. But if you're a subscriber, you probably notice that it's different, and though they're the main differences that you will see, but there's some changes coming to the content, and I wanted to talk that through. So the bigger change is probably the content direction, and I want to be honest with you about why. I've been listening to your feedback and I've been paying close attention to what you're telling me this year, where you're at, what you need, the struggles that you're having. And I realize that as much as the content here has been great, and I'm getting so much great feedback about it, and across this year, we have doubled our weekly downloads of this podcast. So, guys, thank you so much. It's been fantastic. But sometimes it wasn't meeting you where you're at right now. This year has been a struggle. We've got all sorts of market pressures, we've got cost of living crisis, things are different in a way they've never been before. So I have decided to pull this back a little bit more to our grassroots, coming back to those weekly episodes of content that you can take and use and implement straight away. I had been moving more into some bigger
A Shift Back To Fundamentals
areas of leadership and scaling and stepping into a bigger vision. And all of that is real and all of that is relevant. But it's not where most of you are sitting right now. And I need to honor that. And that's what I'm trying to do by making this change. What we need in the market right now is to come back to our fundamentals, to come back to the foundations, those consistent clients, reliable revenue, building a practice that doesn't burn us out, knowing what to focus on, not feeling like we're doing all the things and not getting any traction. Those things are actually the real conversation. And so moving forward for the rest of this year, this is where I'm going to be meeting you at. So the content is shifting back to the way that we did things in the past, bit more practical, bit more grounded and where you really are right now, and focused on things that are going to make a difference in your practice right now, this week, this month, this quarter. Okay. We will still talk those big picture things, don't get me wrong, but we are going to be bringing back in those action points, those implementations, those things that you loved most about how we ran this last year. They're all coming back. The biggest change here though is something that I'm really excited about, and I hope you are too. I am introducing a brand new monthly segment, and it is called the Practitioner Pulse. This is going to be a regular monthly check-in on what's actually happening right now in the natural health market for practitioners on the ground, boots on the ground, what other practitioners are experiencing, what trends we're seeing in the market and what they mean for your practice, and more importantly, what you can do about it. This is so we can understand that we're all in the same boat. Okay, I don't want you to feel alone in whatever you're navigating, and I want you to have information so you can make better decisions. So that's what the Practitioner Pulse is all about. Now, the first full Practitioner Pulse episode is the very next one in your feed after this little introduction, and it covers the five things that are worth knowing right now in June 2026 as we head towards that mid-year mark. So, friends, after this one, check out the next one, the Practitioner Pulse, head straight
Practitioner Pulse And Live Q&A
into that. And the other thing I'm really excited about is Practitioner Pulse Live. So once every quarter, we are going to do Practitioner Pulse Live, where you can join me in real time. We're going to do a YouTube live and you can ask questions, you can get support, you can get ideas. So more detail on that upcoming, but that's going to happen once per quarter. So that's it. What's staying the same? I've told you what's changing. So what's staying the same? Friends, everything that actually matters is staying the same. Still me, still practical advice, still straight talking, still zero fluff, still zero toxic sliming marketing tactics, and no pretending things are easier than they are. Okay, we're gonna be real, we're gonna be honest. I'm a naturopath, I'm a business and marketing strategist, I've been in this industry long enough and I've seen a lot. So my job is to help you build a practice that genuinely works on your terms without burning yourself in the process. So that doesn't change. It's just a fresher name, more focused approach, and hopefully something that is going to be more readily usable by you every single week. So if you are a long-term listener, thank you so much for being here. Love to have you here. If you are new, welcome, welcome to my world. And no matter whether you are long-term or new, I would love to
What Stays The Same
hear from you. What are you navigating in your practice right now? What would be most useful for me to cover for you in these episodes or in the practitioner pulse? Feel free to send me an email, drop me a DM on Instagram, Facebook, whatever is easiest for you, or come into my free group and ask in there and share some information. And I would love for you to be able to share this with other practitioners that you know that could use some straightforward conversation and some help for what is actually going on in our industry right now because 2026 is a year we've never seen before, and let's just hope we never see it again, hey. So we've just got to ride the rest of the roller coaster for this year. But for now, I hope that explains what's going on, and I look forward to seeing you in the next episode, which is the June Practitioner Pulse. It's ready and waiting in your feed right now. Have a great day, everyone. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
